Not sure what part of the country you’re in, but here in Virginia we’ve had a recent insect development known as the “stinkbug”. These fuckers are legion, and quite appropriately named.
Years ago, one fall afternoon, taking one of the last leisurely drives with windows down that the weather would afford me, a stinkbug hit the post of my door and exploded all over my face. Think of a tire fire, and a skunk, and combine the smell. I was wearing stinkbug cologne.
Got home a couple hours later, unlocked the door to the house, walked inside, and grabbed the inside deadbolt knob to shut the door and lock the deadbolt in one motion. There was a stinkbug sitting on the deadbolt knob, which was immediately crushed under my thumb. So now my face smells like stinkbug, and my thumb smelled like concentrated stinkbug.
TL/DR: I’d rather be shit on by an albatross than deal with stinkbugs.
